Berlin, Germany, May 9, 2026 – A German–Iranian inventor has introduced a propulsion concept that proposes an alternative to conventional propeller- and jet-based systems, reflecting ongoing efforts to rethink engineering approaches in next-generation mobility.
Mohsen Bahmani first gained recognition at a young age through early inventions, most notably the “Floating Shoes,” a concept inspired by disaster-response scenarios and aimed at enabling movement across water surfaces. His early work received international awards and established a pattern of problem-driven, unconventional design thinking.
He later continued his academic path in Germany, studying mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he developed expertise in mechanics, energy systems, and engineering design. This background contributed to his transition from early conceptual inventions to more complex, system-level innovations.
His most recent work, formalized in a European patent, introduces a propulsion architecture based on a closed-loop internal system in which multiple reaction units circulate along a predefined path. Unlike conventional propulsion systems that rely on external propellers or jet exhaust, the concept generates thrust through controlled cycles of acceleration, deceleration, and momentum transfer.
The system operates within established physical principles, particularly Newtonian mechanics, and does not rely on hypothetical or non-physical effects.
Importantly, this system is designed to interact with the external environment, enabling dynamic responsiveness to surrounding conditions.
The design reflects a shift from traditional propulsion layouts toward an integrated and cyclical architecture. By coordinating multiple internal units, the system aims to produce continuous directional force while potentially improving efficiency and reducing exposed mechanical components. Reported performance indicators suggest possible gains in operational duration and energy efficiency, though these remain subject to further empirical validation.
The propulsion system was developed over approximately nine years through iterative research and collaboration, and is currently described as being in an advanced research and development phase. The project is now moving toward potential industrial application, where scalability and real-world performance will determine its viability.
