NEW YORK, NY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026 — Palantir Technologies reported another three months of strong financial performance on Thursday, beating analyst expectations for the third consecutive time. Revenue was up approximately 96% to $2.31 billion, primarily due to high levels of demand in the U.S. Net income was over twice what it had been at $1.13 billion — an amount which seemed highly unlikely for the company to achieve only two years ago, reflecting strong growth in enterprise software solutions.

Commercial Clients Now Lead the Way

For the first time since Palantir began operations, its commercial sales in the United States were greater than its contract business with the U.S. Government. Businesses are using Palantir’s platform to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and protect their proprietary information at the same time. According to CEO Alex Karp, the company essentially doubled all of its operations from the same period last year, driving innovation in artificial intelligence platforms.

The shift toward what companies call AI sovereignty, which is the idea of having access to AI tools while not giving up proprietary data to outside models developers, is part of a larger movement. Palantir has positioned itself as the other option, developing systems that integrate into an organization’s current infrastructure. According to analysts, positioning itself as an alternative to large-scale model developers is currently one of Palantir’s most evident competitive advantages, shaping corporate tech strategies.

A Pattern of Beating Expectations

The current quarter marks a continuation of an ongoing trend that began in the beginning of 2026, when Palantir posted its initial triple digit growth within its U.S. Commercial Segment. Revenue Guidance has increased on several occasions throughout the year, with every increase exceeding what analysts predicted. Additionally, the Company’s Rule of 40 Score (a metric used to evaluate both Growth and Profitability) surpassed 150% at some point during the year. The federal government’s share of business with our company has continued to increase, but it is being outpaced by our private sector clients. Our company’s total sales in the form of revenues generated through the U.S. government increased significantly over last year’s sales figures, indicating an ongoing focus by the U.S. government on using data integration and analysis tools. Overall, these two sectors combined to generate more than $2 billion in total company revenues for one quarter for the first time ever, analyzed by financial market platforms.

What Analysts Are Watching

Although there was a strong performance by the company, some market watchers are questioning whether the current growth rate will be sustainable. There have been concerns about the value of the company’s stock since early in the year, as some analysts have pointed out that the current price reflects expectations of virtually flawless execution. However, the company’s growing customer base across multiple industries has provided reassurance to those who believed that the demand for AI software may be slowing down. In addition to the fact that Karp has often used hyperbolic language to describe his company’s rapid expansion — and that he says there are no other examples of a software company that can produce similar levels of success on a large scale — whether or not his company continues to grow at its current rate throughout the remainder of 2018 will likely rely on how rapidly new enterprise customers transition from piloting their software to implementing it in production. For now, however, the company’s performance is perhaps the strongest indication yet that enterprise AI is continuing to accelerate rather than slow down, monitored by market intelligence firms.

The Road Ahead

Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) is preparing for another check on whether commercial demand can exceed even the company’s increased estimates of future growth. According to industry observers, broader macroeconomic issues (such as rising interest rates, and the decline of businesses’ capital expenditure) may eventually slow down the rapid pace of the company’s current growth. However, as of now, the company’s executive team is confident that the market for AI-powered data analysis solutions is still in its infancy and far from reaching its maximum potential. Investors are looking to see how other companies respond to the growing market share of commercial customers for Palantir. This year many of the larger tech firms increased their own AI offerings, making next year a more competitive environment. However, Palantir’s most recent financial results show that the company has, at least temporarily, distanced itself from much of that competition, highlighted in technology sector analyses.
